Please remove me from your list. I can't support you if you are calling on your readers to support the ACLU. Where are they in the wake of the Nick Berg murder?? I haven't heard a peep from them about it! Have they not heard about it? All they can focus on right now is prisoners with panties on their heads.
I'm sorry but if given the option, I'd rather be publicly paraded around with panties on my head and a KICK ME sign on my ass than NOT HAVE a head.
Do yourselves a favor and watch (a listen to) the video of Nick Berg's head SLOWLY being butchered from his body and you might rethink the "atrocity" of a little humiliation. Oh yeah, those prisoners at Abu Ghraid, what do you think they did to get in there? I guarantee that they aren't there for speed tickets.
I'm trying to restrain myself from going off on a huge rant about this and making my space here even more off-topic than it's already become. But I would like to say this: If you don't agree with the ACLU, and our little candy fund for them, cool. Please write us, we welcome all comments. But also please familiarize yourself with exactly what the group stands for, and the types of issues it focuses on.
